QUEENS OF THE MOTHERFUCKING STONE AGE
The best rock band of the 2000's
Queens Of The Stone Age (commonly abbreviated as QOTSA) is an American rock band part of the greater Palm Dessert Rock Scene. It was formed in 1997 by Josh Homme after the disbanding of his previous band "Kyuss".
Their self-titled debut album was released on September 22, 1998. The lineup consisted of former Kyuss band mate Alfredo Hernández playing the drums and Homme playing every other instrument, with his contribution on the bass credited to his alterego "Carlo Von Sexron"
This album features a very sludgy rock sound with guitar tones representative of stoner rock. It's a good introduction to QOTSA's overall sound, but it isn't one of my favorites, especially considering later releases

After the release of the self-titled album, came "Rated R", released on June 6, 2000. And if Self-Titled defined QOTSA's sound, Rated R solidified and evolved it, featuring a new bassist

Sure, Nick might be "controversial to say the least, but he did make some banger bass lines
